Bitmaps (.BMP files) may
be placed as objects or buttons in your form. This allows you to
have endless variety and creativity in the form design process.
Note: Bitmap files used in SURVEYWin must
be smaller than 32 kilobytes. Design the bitmap in a grapics
program and save it in the directory where SURVEYWin is located.
It is best to use standard colors and save the file as a 16 color
bitmap. Before you can use your bitmap, you must add it to your
bitmap library.
Adding a file to your bitmap library:
- From the main design screen, click on
the Mona Lisa icon.
- After the blank bitmap screen appears,
select File | New.
- Choose the bitmap file that you wish
to add to your bitmap library and select OK. Repeat this
process as necessary to add more files to your bitmap
library. Any file that you add to your bitmap library can
be converted into a button in SURVEYWin.
Converting a bitmap to a button:
- Select a question in your form (or
create a new one)
- Select Response | Modify
response.
- In the resulting Compose
responses window click on the button that you
want to change into a bitmap.
- Select File | Bitmaps
and your bitmap library will appear on the screen. Select
the bitmap that you want and click Apply/OK.
- The bitmap will appear where the
button used to be.
- To resize the actual button behind the
bitmap, click on the squares surrounding the button and
resize as necessary.
Note: The bitmap that you
have chosen cannot be resized within SURVEYWin. This may be done
in any typical paint program.
