 Dealer Training Needs Assessment
Objective: A car dealership had employees dispersed across the country and needed to assess the currency level and need for specific professional development of its staff. The use of paper records was not supporting the rotating staff within the dealership and the use of the latest use of the NADA's Awareness, Knowledge, Understanding, and Skill (AKUS) training standards. Issues of customer satisfaction and employee rotation were becoming a concern.

Process used:

An Internet-based survey was deployed as a quick and effective way to sample the dealership's dispersed workforce skill level and training requirements. The survey was developed with the use of demographic data, logical branching, color formatting, creative table-formatting and user comment fields.

Benefits achieved:

The survey is actively collecting the changing workforce's needs. Instead of a delay in assessing the workforce on a particular skill or product an employee can enter data and the request the appropriate training courses on the current schedule. The resulting data collection and report presented the current issues and training needs.
