Internal Client Survey | |
Objective: | An organization has a number of internal operations and departments that provide support to the staff and departments that have contact with the customer base. A concern was that these departments did not have an accountability and may not be essential to the organization. A series of personal interviews and paper surveys did not provide a cost effective method to survey the majority of the organization's workforce. There were suggestions to make changes in the organization's mission and structure but an evaluation of the success of those internal organization needed to be determined. |
Process used: | An Intranet-based survey was developed into a quick and cost effective method to sample the organization's internal operations. In addition to the use of table-formatting, follow-on comment questions, and ODBC database linking - a portablePC version was also developed for use at regional customer and staff training events. |
Benefits achieved: | The survey's data collection provided detailed information regarding how internal organizations were utilized by members of the organization. The final report allowed management to reallocate resources and make changes that where recommended within the survey. |
