| Objective: | A 2-year college maintains a Faculty Teaching and Learning Center to enhance their faculty's professional development. The faculty members had a misunderstandings of the abililty to use the center and the courses available. Paper and telephone surveys were made to see if the faculty was aware of the center's use and professional development course availability. There were suggestions to make changes in the center's mission and structure but an evaluation needed to be determined. |

Process used: | A survey was developed and distributed via the college's Intranet and email system that provided a quick and cost effective method to sample the full-time and part-time faculty. The survey design included the use of table-formatting, follow-on comment questions, and ODBC database linking. The survey comments were categorized with the use of SurveyTOOLs to provide a very comprehensive analysis in the final report. |

Benefits achieved: | The survey's data collection provided detailed information regarding how the faculty were utilizing the center's resources and professional development courses. The final report allowed management to reallocate resources and make changes that where recommended within the survey. |
